Summer Bliss
Hey everyone,
I want to apologize for being MIA for a while. There has been a lot going on recently – all good things! Those of you that follow me on my different social feeds know that I have been really busy with out-of-state family and traveling aboard.
This past weekend I was in Cancun with my childhood friends, whom I have been close with for more than 15 years. We have been together through it all, from late-night AIM chats, sleepless sleepovers, numerous college visits, to now seeing a few ‘walk down the isle’ and take life’s next steps. These guys are literally my second family, and I am blessed to have them in my life.
However, I am now back in business with a vacation-inspired beach look, perfect for the blissful summertime weather! Since, I was headed to the Caribbean, I decided to pack for warm weather and most importantly, the beach!
For my first night out in Cancun, I decided on a causal beachy-affair with many colorful accessories. This white off the shoulder top outfit was the perfect vacation look - it was causal, airy and summery. I also loved how the off the shoulder top accentuated my golden shoulders. Side note: I am not sure if many of you are aware but Indians normally do not like getting tan, but I am an exception - I am always down for some sun-kissed glow.
I paired this top with some ripped boyfriend shorts. It was really humid in Cancun, so I wanted to maintain both comfort and style. Gala tip: ripped jeans are a must have summer wardrobe staple. You can literally make any outfit look chic without trying too hard.
Necessary to complete any outfit are eye-catching accessories – I decided on a stack of colorful bangles, my staple rings and choker necklaces. I know what you are all wondering: Is the 90’s choker necklaces back in style? The answer is…yes, back in full swing and I am absolutely loving them! I can’t seem to get enough of the different types of choker styles. Rounding out my outfit are a hand-held “love” clutch and light golden knee-high gladiator sandals. The clutch added to the beach-vibe with a splash of bohemian. I love how the different how the different prints, bead-designs and fringes made my outfit look trendy.
