Shine like a Diamond

Hey hey hey,

I hope everyone had a fabulous Labor Day Weekend celebrating with family and friends! I’m not sure if many of you can relate, but LDW is always bittersweet for me. It signifies the end of summer shenanigans, but the beginning of Fall festivities, one my favorite seasons! Nevertheless, before the summer officially comes to an end I hope everyone enjoys the next couple of weekends brunching, barbecuing and soaking in the lovely outdoor weather.

Today on Gala dé Govind, I want to inspire you all with what I believe to be the “perfect daytime party outfit". I wore this dress to one of my best friend’s graduation brunch at PS 450 in New York City. I love this high neck halter dress for its abstract patterns and printed details. The red and blue diamonds and Aztec-like details on the white background dress gives it the perfect color contrast for a daytime occasion. This dress is so simple yet so beautiful, and extremely versatile - it can be worn at many different occasions. Unfortunately, this dress is always out of stock – a few days ago I saw some pieces in stock and they are all already gone! I will keep an eye out for a restock and notify my Gala fans!

I paired this dress with one of my favorite closed-toe red heels to give my outfit a pop of color. Side note: if any of you ladies are looking for the perfect red pumps that look elegant and feel comfortable, please don’t bother looking anymore. Every time I wear these beauties I feel like I am walking on cloud 9 - I can stride like no other! This red pump is pointy, two inches tall and provides comfortable insulation. Sadly, these red shoes are also sold out but if you would like to keep your eyes out for them they are from Calvin Klein, Gayle patent type.

As you've seen from prior blog posts, I feel minimum jewelry is needed with the right dress, and this outfit is no different. I accessorized with simply my signature watch and a couple of midi rings. The vibrant patterns on the dress are more than captivating, and significant amounts of jewelry would take away from the dress' beauty. I finalized the look with a simple light brown cross body bag.

P.S.: This is the perfect time to buy any end of season items that you've eyed and not pulled the trigger on. Sales are always happening during this time of year as the seasons start to shift, so keep your eyes open to get a head start on next summer's essentials! I certainly will be starting now and will keep you all updated on the latest additions to my wardrobe.

Hugs and Kisses
