Pumpkin Kisses & Harvest Wishes

Hi my Gala lovers,

October is such a festive month filled with homemade apple pies, pumpkin carvings, Halloween costumes and much more. As such, one of my favorite things to do during this time of the year is pumpkin picking. This year, I went to Alstead Farm in Chester, New Jersey because it was the only farm that allowed me to bring my little Morkie, Gia. Gia loves people and interacting with other animals - I am convinced she had the time of her life, and once we got home she slept for the rest of the day!

October weather can be pretty unpredictable - it changes from warm to cold within moments. I made sure I layered myself in comfortable clothing for this pumpkin picking outing expecting the unexpected. I am a huge fan of turtle necks: they keep you warm while maintaining the classy & elegant vibe. You can pair a simple turtle neck with any bottoms (as they go with a diversity of items) - for this look, I paired it with forest green shorts.

Fall accessories are a must: sheer black tights, knee high black socks, a mustard colored scarf, a brown braided belt and my favorite cognac bag. Gala tip: sheer black tights are my favorite fall / winter wear item - they optically make your legs look slender while maintaining warmth. I finished the look with my all-time favorite combat shoes for comfort and to navigate the flurry of leaves at the farm.
