Baby, It's cold Outside

It is officially the season of winter! So you know what that means? It’s time to pull out your winter gear because baby, it’s cold outside!

Dressing up during this time of the year can be so blah. It’s freezing outside, so I'd honestly rather be all bundled up in my bed binge watching Netflix. Unfortunately, there’s no escaping the gloomy and chilly weather outside without jetting on a long vacation to the Caribbean, which isn't in my near-term future haha :(. Jokes aside, today I’m going to share with you my secret recipe for maintaining both warmth and style over the next couple of months. Drum roll please…It’s all about layers, layers and more layers!

In today’s outfit, I am wearing three top level layers: a long black shirt (not pictured), a white collared T-shirt, and a heavy sweater. This embellished sweater is my go-to piece in the winter. It’s a classic attention-seeking piece exuding elegance and simplicity. When I want to dress down (as in these pictures) and chill, I pair the sweater with a simple white shirt underneath. Gala tip: A white collared shirt is an absolute must at all times of the year - it's extremely versatile and a staple in all wardrobes. I completed this multi-layered look with plain blue jeans, black booties and my favorite knitted hat.
