Out and About in Philly

Hi Galas!

Many of us are fortunate to have couple of days off during the last week of December, which makes it an ideal time for a quick getaway! Depending on your state regulations and comfort level, I would highly recommend visiting Philadelphia for a few days! Rohit and I are very blessed to escape the four walls in early November to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldn’t be any happier!

We stayed at the Four Seasons in Philly for many reasons, including their cleanliness and sanity process during the pandemic, amazing hospitality, phenomenal views and most importantly their accommodates to pets! We didn’t want to exclude our pup, Maya, from my birthday festivities because it wouldn’t have been complete without her!

During our staycation at the hotel, Rohit and I started our mornings by ordering breakfast to our room. We loved eating all the delicious food, including eggs, croissants, juices and coffees with a view of the city! It honestly felt so relaxing! We also used their gym facility, which felt SO safe! The gym was limited to 10 people and was constantly sanitized by their staff after any individual was done using their equipment! They also provided additional sanity wipes to wipe down your equipment yourself, so Rohit and I made sure to utilize both services! It made working out feel less stressful and a lot more fun! Rohit also surprised me with their luxurious spa packages! If you stay at this hotel, this is an absolutely must! I felt at ease from the minute we walked inside; their massages are incredible, and it includes access to their pool. Also, the staff went over the top to make me feel special on my birthday – they gifted me balloons, champagne and chocolates! What girl doesn’t like to be pampered on her birthday? I of course do!

Rohit and I also dined at one of Jean George’s restaurant and ordered a few margaritas/old fashions and ate calamaries, tuna tartar, pizza and risotto – all of the food was spectacular as they say it is!

Outside of the hotel, we roamed around central city and visited the iconic “LOVE” sign, Independence National Historical Park to see the Liberty Bell, Rittenhouse Square and Elfreth's Alley. Philly is a beautiful city with so much to do with its own charm! I cannot wait to go back to visit after the pandemic is over to enjoy what the city has to offer to its fullest! Also, during our stay, I felt really safe as all the hotels/restaurants were taking COVID-19 precautions and more importantly, Rohit and I always wore our masks and washed/sanitized our hands frequently! We are extremely blessed to escape our home for a couple of days to visit another city and I hope, you are able to do the same!
