"Tie-Dyed" at home
Hi guys!
Staying home 24/7 can leave many of us feeling “cooped up,” which in all likelihood can result in unnecessary stress, restlessness, anxiety, and/or depression. To help me ease into the “new normal” of quarantining, I believe I’ve mastered staying at home and would like to share with all of you how I’ve been staying active yet productive during these unprecedented times.
During the weekdays, I discipline myself to start my mornings around 7:30am, shower, and prepare myself a healthy breakfast. Having this early morning routine motivates me to conquer my workday from home. I find it very hard to stare at a computer screen all day long, so my daily dose of social interaction consists of meals and the occasional five-minute breaks every few hours with my very own in-person co-worker (aka my wonderful husband)! Looks like I’m taking this “work from home” mentality literally, haha! Having a working buddy helps ease the loneliness of working from home.
If there was ever a quote that stuck with me it is: “if you look good then you feel good,” so I always try to wear comfy-chic outfits at home. Loungewear, especially tie-dyes, has been one of my favorite styles during the quarantine. These outfits are super comfortable and makes me feel put together without try too hard. Not to mention these outfits look great during my work video calls! I mean, we can’t be all “tie-dyed” at home without looking cute, right?
I’m hoping some of my tricks will help you create your own routine and ease the feeling of staying at home.
