Hotline Bling
“You used to call me on my cell phone
Late night when you need my love
Call me on my cell phone
Late night when you need my love
And I know when that hotline bling
That can only mean one thing..."
Alright, you guys can take your ear plugs out. I know I am a horrible singer but I couldn’t help myself as I prepared to attend Drake’s Summer Sixteen Concert in August co-featuring Future! Screaming at the top of my lungs watching Drizzy live at MSG with some of my family and friends was one of the highlights of my summer.
As such, I wanted to share my concert attire for the evening, an edgy but comfortable mix that allowed me to dance freely and enjoy the night. I paired a lacey spaghetti strap crop top with washed out acid denim ripped jeans and tied a plaid flannel black and red button down on my waist. Gala tip: Plaid shirts are a classic concert look. You can tie it on your waist as an accessory or put it on if the weather / atmosphere demands as such. I also wore a ton of gold midi rings, added a spiked bracelet, small fringed bag and a leather baseball hat for an added concert feel. Most importantly, I wore very comfortable black sneakers that not only complemented my outfit but allowed me to stand and dance for the entire event.
I hope you all enjoy my Drake-themed attire, and I wish to see some of your variations on this concert outfit, especially if you plan on attending the event (which I highly recommend if you are a fan). For those of you that are not going / were unable to snag tickets, I say you dress up anyway, whip out the music playlist and blast Hotline Bling - it'll be like you were there live!
